WOW!!!  What a year.  I started this blog on January 6 this year.  I had NO IDEA what I was doing.  With that and a computer that died on us I really didn't get things going until June.  So even though my anniversary is coming up it really does not feel like one.  To me it really feels like this all began in June.  So with that I have complied a list of the best of AliLilly 2010!!!  So exciting!!  I have a best of list!!  WEEE! *big happy smile*  I based this list off of comments and features.

Is the story called Sending Birthday Wishes To Heaven.  It is about my BELOVED Nephew Khaleeq who went to Heaven last year.  He is loved and missed and is OUR Angel watching over us from Heaven.

There were so many heartfelt and wonderful comments left on this post. 

Thanks y'all for such a great year.  I have met and made so many new wonderful friends.  I can't wait to see what is in store for 2011!  Thanks for all your support and AMAZING inspiration.  This blog and my craftiness would be NOTHING with out YOU!

Cutting Edge Stencil Product Review

This is what I did with my Cutting Edge Stencil.

I'm sure you've seen all the wonderful stenciled walls all over "blogland" Here are just a few that I love!

I've been aching to decorate our home. My free-hand artistic abilities are limited to stick figures. So, when I saw how many different stencils Cutting Edge Stencils offered I got SO EXCITED.

They have Branches and Birds.

Medallions and Borders.

All over Damask

Wall Pattern Kits

All over Trellis kits

Fossils that you can paint or

add plaster for texture

 And they have so much more.....

When Cutting Edge Stencils asked me if I would be interested in doing a product review I squealed and did a happy dance while replying "YES YES YES THANK YOU!!" 

I chose the Spring Songbirds Wall Art Stencil Kit. 

We decided to use it on our kitchen wall. This is the before pic.

I painted the back wall a beautiful Turquoise blue. My sweet hubby even helped. We used Traditional Brown for the base color of the stencil and Malted Milk for highlighting.

Once the paint dried we secured the stencil on the wall and painted the base coat with the Dense Foam Roller Cutting Edge Stencils provided me.

Then we added highlights to the stencil with a stencil brush. By the way those are my hubby's man hands!

Isn't it just AMAZING!! I am ABSOLUTELY in love with it. 

I can't wait to add more here and there around the house. 

David turned one of the birds in to a Cardinal. How beautiful is this guy!!?

The stencil was SO EASY to use. It was strong, sturdy and easy to secure to the wall. Once the paint drys on the stencil it peels right off. You can use them again and again! My sister and sister in law are already in line to borrow it! I'm just so excited over how easy, fast and simple this was to do. It's made our kitchen look like a million bucks!
