My daughter is a Princess!!

Who isn't struggling financial right now?!!  With Halloween around the corner, David and I were a little worried about what to do for our sweet little Alie.  She is ALL THINGS PRINCESS right now.  We found a few cute princess costumes for $20.  Which is still pretty steep for a poorly made costume.  Have you ever noticed how cheap the material is or how cheaply they are thrown together.  Last Halloween she was a little Halloween Ballerina.  I made her an orange and black tutu and paired it with a cute Halloween shirt and a pair of black tights.  My husband works at Grand Canyon University, so we attended the GCU Fall Festival last year.  Alie the Halloween Ballerina, was a TOTAL HIT. SO....I think, I can make her a tutu princess!  As I looked for inspiration online, the concept morphed a little into a long tutu princess dress.  I used a shirt she already had.  I made a long white and pink tulle tutu and attached it to the top.  I stitched stain ribbon on the shirt's sleeves and collar.   I attached satin ribbon over the area, then I attached the skirt to the top.  Since I am ALL ABOUT the rosettes right now, I made a BUNCH!  I glued them onto the ribbon waist.  I also made a bouquet of different rosettes to go over  some embroidery that was on her shirt.  Then I attached some ribbons to the shirt and a large ribbon in the back as a tie.  She LOVES it.  I LOVE IT!  It was so much fun making it for her.  I feels so sweet knowing I made that for her.  OH and the total cost was $14!!  Did you know Dollar Tree sells tulle and ribbons!??  I got the pink tulle at Walmart, 65 yards for $6!

So cute right?  Now, I can't wait to make her something next year!  My hubby knows all I want for Christmas is a sewing machine.  I can't wait to make pretty stuff for our princess!  I would love to hear what you think?  Thanks for stopping by!

SO YUMMY Pumpkin Bars

The bars were DELICIOUS!!! There is a recipe for Pumpkin Cheesecake on the box as well. Now, I have my very own Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe that is a FAMILY FAVORITE. BUT, I am DEFINITELY trying this one out too!

SO YUMMY! The crust is gingerbread cookies!!

I could have added some whip cream and sprinkled some nutmeg to make it pretty. I didn't intend on this being a recipe post. BUT after the first bite I decided I HAD to share this one!! If you try it I would love to hear what you think. Thanks for stopping by today! :)

My Fall Wreath

I can not thank y'all enough for the fun little crafty things I have learned to do from all of your blogs!!  I think it's safe to say I am officially a rosette maker!!

A little over a month ago I joined a Fall Favorites Gift Exchange Party with Amanda from Every Crafty Endeavor.  My fall partner was Jenni with Carlisle Clan Conversation. Since I am a jewelry maker.  I made her a fall bracelet and a few other pieces for her beautiful family.  I was so excited to try out my new craftiness and I made her this wreath.  It is my VERY FIRST FALL WREATH.  I really hope she likes it.

After saying out loud to no one in particular "wow, I can actually do this" I decided to get busy and make one for my family.

My hubby found this ADORABLE fall sign of Dollar Tree.  Being Texans who now reside in Arizona, it has a special sentimental-ness to it.  I glued on a couple fall leaves to spruce it up a bit.  Our front door is hidden away where no one can see it, so I hung our fall wreath in our dining room.

What do you think I did??  I can't wait to get crafty for Christmas.  This is our first Christmas out here in Arizona in our own place.  I think my husband is a little worried our apartment is going to look like the inside of Michael's.  BTW all my Halloween jewelry is 30% off in my etsy shop! Halloween Pinwheel Flowers

The area over Alie's closet is just so drab. 

I wanted to liven it up a bit for her.  I was singing her to sleep one night.  I looked up and saw the pinwheels I made for her hanging over her bed and I had an epiphany! 

I could make some for the area over her closet.  As I thought of the paper to use I remembered that I had purchased some Halloween scrapbook paper at Target for $1.  I could use that and create a little flower patch for her.  Then I thought I could change it with the seasons and Holidays. 

One day while looking through links I came across these adorable Baby Mobile Pinwheels by Kat at Measuring My Life in Love.  I was inspired to make some for our sweet baby girl.

These are some of the first ones I made.  These hang over her bed.

First, I moved her cross here.

 I got busy.  I made some pinwheels from the Halloween paper.  Then I took construction paper in orange and black and made the grass, stems and leaves from it. 

This is how it turned out. Alie LOVES it!

Like I mentioned above, I am going to change this with the seasons and holidays. I already have fall ready to go! What do you think??
